Tattoo Education: Knowledge You Can Use Immediately

Education at Pineapple Tattoo Studio is led by Ina Pineapple, an art educator and internationally awarded tattoo artist. Throughout her career she has trained several tattoo artists from the beginning through apprenticeship, while placing strong emphasis on hygiene, workflow and understanding design.

The seminars and workshops are designed to build solid foundations and solve concrete problems you encounter in your work. One course will not turn anyone into a top-level artist overnight — but it can help you avoid many unnecessary mistakes and progress faster and with more intention.

Every individual training is tailored to your previous knowledge, portfolio, goals and the areas you want to improve. Individual education can be held in either Slovenian or English, depending on your preference. During the training you are welcome to take notes, photograph and record the process.

Ina also continues to study regularly with leading artists and continuously incorporates new knowledge into her own process.

Tattoo Education – Group Seminars

Topics include equipment, hygiene, skin, possible complications and Q&A. The second day includes the practical tattooing process. Designed for beginners and artists who want to strengthen their theoretical and practical foundations.
Advanced equipment and setup, tattoo care before and after the session, technique development, flow and design, photography, Q&A and a practical tattooing process on the second day.
Black-and-grey and color realism, color theory, design, flow and anatomy, photography and a practical tattooing process on the second day.

I'm interested in a group seminar

Individual 1:1 Education

1 or 2 days, approximately 10–20 hours by agreement. Theoretical and practical foundations, review of current knowledge, fake skin or practical work depending on experience, portfolio review, goals and questions. Includes limited mentoring after the seminar.
The first day focuses on portfolio analysis, goals, style, communication, client organization, placement on the body, photography, design, stencil preparation and color scheme. The second day is dedicated to the practical tattooing process. Includes mentoring after completion.
A one-day format in which you follow the complete working day: stencil preparation, client communication and the tattooing process. After the session we review your portfolio, questions, goals and concrete next steps.
